Only 1,300 Being Made
The high end graphics market is out of reach for most of us now, unless we want to go back to the old days of subsisting on pallets of dry ramen for a year, and even that might not save you enough money to get a top of the line GPU. Why not take a look at something truly out of any reasonable price range, MSI’s RTX 5090 Lightning Z. While it’s not easily found, MicroCenter does indeed have it for sale and the price is the same as the model number. In Canada it’s all lucky number 7.
What do you get for that? A watercooled RTX 5090 with a 360mm waterblock almost as big as the card itself, that GPU being overclocked to 2730 MHz or 2775 MHz in Extreme mode. In order to run the card you will need not one, but two 12V-2×6 connectors because the peak power draw of this card can exceed 1000W!  MSI includes two cables, so you just have to make sure your PSU can feed the RTX 5090 Lightning Z.
It is faster than your average RTX 5090 and the massive waterblock ensures that you won’t see thermal throttling while gaming on a card which costs as much as some entire systems built around a lesser RTX 5090.
Just how much faster, and can it be pushed to even higher frequencies with some tweaking? Find out at KitGuru.
