MORPH R2: this is the name of the new open-air ITX chassis from Haurjie, AKA Hardline Nexus. It is the result of several years of development and aims to shake things up.

MORPH R2: ITX

This new open case from Hardline Nexus represents almost three years of development and has gone through many stages. The first MORPH could accommodate both ATX and ITX configurations thanks to a system of interchangeable trays. Interesting, but not entirely satisfactory for its creator, who decided to separate the new versions into two distinct offerings. For ATX card enthusiasts, the MORPH R2 Prime is the way to go.

The first thing you notice about the MORPH is its bold design and minimalist front panel, but on closer inspection, you understand where its name comes from. Hardline Nexus is targeting both air cooling and custom watercooling enthusiasts. To achieve this, he has equipped his chassis with a sliding motherboard tray that can be adapted to almost any configuration. Radiators have not been forgotten, thanks to the side, top and bottom mounts. However, these can also be replaced by SSD mounts or simply used as cable covers.

The MORPH R2 can therefore accommodate:

  • ITX motherboard
  • SFX or SFX-L power supply
  • Air cooler without any height limit
  • Graphic cards up to 368 mm
  • Radiators and watercooling components up to 240 mm (3 slots)

For more information, check out the case presentation video or the product page on Hardline Nexus website.

The MORPH R2 is currently available for pre-order. The future of the chassis and possible larger-scale production will depend on the results of these pre-orders. Unfortunately, there are no plans to distribute this first batch outside the United States. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that it will arrive in Europe in the future.
