From Corsair, we learn that the brand is announcing a whole new batch of peripherals… But in this brief, we’re going to focus on the interesting case of the Galleon 100. Indeed, if you’re into streaming, having a Stream Deck can be interesting for launching sounds you’ve set up or whatever. With this keyboard, the brand combines both: keyboard and Stream Deck.

Galleon 100: a Stream Deck keyboard at the same time!

With this keyboard, Corsair offers us a reference in 100% format, but unlike a classic keyboard, the brand swaps the numeric keypad for a Stream Deck. The latter features a dedicated screen and twelve customizable keys to which you can assign your own shortcuts for interacting with OBS Studio or other software. In short, ideal if you want to start streaming, for example.

Beyond that, this keyboard rests on an aluminum chassis, and a wrist rest is included. Construction looks “ok” (for a consumer keyboard) and we find the brand’s MLX Pulse mechanical switches. These lubricated linear switches come as standard and can withstand up to 80 million keystrokes. Otherwise, soundproofing is provided in the case to reduce disturbance, and there are two thumbwheels. You can assign various functions via the brand’s software (via web browser).

These include an 8000 Hz polling rate, full anti-ghosting and full key rollover. Last but not least, 8 MB of internal memory is available for recording profiles and macros.

All right, the price is high, at €349.99. It’s also worth remembering that it combines two devices in one: keyboard and Stream Deck. Currently, just a small eight-key module(Stream Deck Neo) costs €100 on the Elgato website.
