Jeff Bates Announces Wife’s Long-Awaited Pregnancy

After years of trying to get pregnant, Jeff Bates and his wife Kelly are excited to announce they’re expecting their first child, due on April 30.
“I’m glad it’s later in the month,” Jeff smirks, “I was worried about it being an April Fool’s baby!”
The proud parents-to-be have seen two ultrasounds so far, and they’re looking forward to the coming weeks when they are able to determine the sex of the baby.
“There’s a part of the both of us that wants it to be a surprise, because it’s the natural thing to do,” the singer tells The Boot. “But then there’s another part that says you know, if you have the ability to find out if you’re having a boy or a girl, then you can plan that direction of painting the room, buying what they need and getting set up for them …The smart thing to do is to find out!”

So happy for them….God bless them both. However, I disagree…wait until the birth to find out the sex..it is so rewarding!

Congratulations!!! You are blessed! I would wait to see what it is. I had an ultrasound done two weeks before the birth and they told me a boy and she popped out a girl! You just never know.
Congratulations!! I know how much you wanted this. Go ahead and do what you and Kelly want – if you want to know what color to paint – go ahead and find out! Enjoy this time and be happy!!! It’s exciting no matter when you find out the sex – I say go for it!!! LOVE YOU!
What exciting news! There is no greater joy than a child and no better proof of God’s love. Congratulations to you both!! On finding out the sex of the baby before hand, I would recommend not finding out. It’s like knowing who is going to win the Super Bowl before the game is even played!! Love you guys!
